Fredy Massad and Alicia Guerrero Yeste established ¿btbw/architecture in 1996, devoting their joint work to the research and criticism on contemporary architecture. 
Prior to their association, Fredy Massad worked as associate professor at the Architecture Faculty of the Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina) from 1991 to 1995.
Fredy Massad and Alicia Guerrero Yeste are leading an intense research about the impact of new technologies on architectural practice and thinking, especially focused in the conception of architecture through digital techniques. 
They curated the symposium a+a architecturanimation for the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya, which was held in Barcelona from 18th to 22nd June 2002 and provided an insight into the development of new architectural approaches through the usage of animation techniques. In addition to this curatorial task, they also edited the book + cd a+a architecturanimation, published by ACTAR, featuring contributions by animation theorists and some of the foremost expert architects on the application on digital animation to architecture. 
They edited the monograph issue ‘Arquitectura en la era de la Revolución Digital’ for the Spanish magazine Experimenta (issue 45, July 2003).
They are correspondents in Europe for the Argentinean architectural magazine summa+ and are regular contributors to the culture supplement of the Spanish newspaper ‘La Vanguardia’. Their articles appear regularly in European and American media on architecture and art. 
Fredy Massad and Alicia Guerrero Yeste have lectured on aspects related to architecture and new technologies at universities and symposia in Europe, USA and Argentina. They have also been advisors for film programmes on architecture for events held in Spain, Switzerland and USA.
They are authors of the books Notas sobre ciudades (mutantes) (Ajuntament de Lleida, Lleida, Spain 1998) and Enric Miralles: Metamorfosi del Paesaggio (Testo & Immagine, Turin, Italy 2004) 
Their last curatorial project, a program of audiovisual architectural pieces and lectures under the title ‘Arquitectura Artificial’, has been a commission from SONAR 2004 Multimedia Art and Electronic Music Festival in Barcelona. 
Their curatorial work, both as exhibition curators and editors, has summoned the contribution of relevant international experts in the field of contemporary architecture.
Currently, ¿btbW/architecture are curating the exhibition Erotica Architectonica, which will be held between November-De
cember 2004 at the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya in Lleida (Spain). This exhibition is a commission from Universitat de Lleida (Spain).
Their forthcoming projects include lectures at the congresses “Jardins Secrets.
